CubeSat Travel Grant

About this Campaign

The CubeSat team has been busy building TJREVERB, a nanosatellite selected by NASA for launch into Lower Earth Orbit this fall. (More information on TJREVERB can be found here.) While only a handful of secondary schools have the capabilities to build a satellite, TJ remains the only high school that has been twice accepted by NASA. For launch, the team will head to NanoRacks, LLC in Houston to hand off TJREVERB for internal payload packing. This grant funds travel and accommodations for 8 students and 2 faculty selected to deliver REVERB to NanoRacks this fall.

We are working with CubeSat’s faculty advisors to coordinate an Alumni Outreach Event in Houston. While this serves as a great opportunity for Houston-area alumni get to know each other, it also affords students a chance to present their work and engage with alumni who share their interests (grant does not fund this event.)
