Next year we are anticipating the retirement of two members of the TJ Physics Department. Physics teachers are always very difficult to find, even in base schools. The fact that we potentially have two vacancies to fill is going to be an extraordinary challenge for the school. We do however have a unique opportunity this summer. The annual summer meeting of AAPT (American Association of Physics Teachers) will be in DC at the end of July. This annual meeting will bring together nearly 1000 physics teachers to one place, including many undergraduate Physics faculty. We would like to buy a recruitment table at the conference for a cost of $2300. At this table Sci Tech leadership will advertise the school and the very special opportunities for faculty.
